Ed Sheeran is the music man of the year! “Shape Of You” entered PT20 chart at #4 on February 2017. The following month, it reached the top spot and stayed there for three (3) consecutive months from March til May. “Shape Of You” spent a total of ten (10) months on PT20 chart.

Philippines Top 20 Year End-2017 PT20 Chart
2016’s biggest hit “Closer” by The Chainsmokers ft Halsey also ranked as the 2nd most popular song in 2017. The song entered PT20 chart at #1 in August 2016 and stayed at the summit for five(5) months. It also spent a total of nine(9) months on the PT20 chart from August 2016 til April 2017.
The third(3rd) most popular song of 2017 is the Spanish tune “Despacito” by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi featuring rapper Daddy Yankee. “Despacito” entered PT20 chart in May 2017 at #7. The following month, it replaced Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” at the top spot and stayed there for three(3) consecutive months. The song had a six-month run on the PT20 chart from May til October 2017.
